Caring for Tomorrow is an annual benefit founded in 2015 by leaders in the New York City real estate industry, created in response to an urgent need: to support the individuals and families whose lives are changed by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
Founded as Caring to Remember, and in celebration of its 10th Year, the benefit begins a new chapter this year under a name that looks ahead – to the future we are determined to build for everyone living with dementia and the families who care for them. The name is new; the mission is unchanged.
More than 7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease, and more than 12 million family members and friends are providing unpaid care for those diagnosed. In New York City alone, more than 1 million people are living with the disease or caring for someone who is. In 2025, that unpaid care totaled an estimated 19.6 billion hours – valued at a staggering $446 billion.
To date, the benefit has raised more than $3 million to Change the World of Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Our core belief is simple: impact leads to change. While there is not yet a cure for Alzheimer’s or related dementias, there are real and instrumental ways we can make a difference in the lives of those affected.
This year, Caring for Tomorrow will continue to support the mission of CaringKind, the leading expert in Alzheimer’s and dementia care, funding the creation, delivery, and promotion of comprehensive support services for individuals, families, and care partners; and advancing research aimed at eliminating Alzheimer’s disease. A recognized leader in the field for nearly five decades, CaringKind is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and the proud recipient of the 2023 BOMA New York Civic Betterment Award.
In previous years, the benefit has also supported the Alzheimer’s Association, UsAgainstAlzheimer’s and the ADDF to extend the reach of its impact. In 2026, additional proceeds will continue to support research to find a cure, along with advocacy initiatives – including those focused on Medicare reform and broader access to dementia care and support.
Together, we are Caring for Tomorrow, building a future where no one faces dementia alone, and where change is not only possible, but within reach.
